Kyoshi Armando Cappa 7th Dan
American Kyokushin Karate Vice-President

  Armando Cappa Kyoshi was born in Argentina, South America where in 1968 he started training in Judo. After his family moved to United States, he began his training in Kyokushin Karate (spring of 1972) with the expert guidance of Steve Senne, then the Vice Chairman of the Kyokushin Organization (IKO 1).
CappaKyoshi currently holds a 7th Degree Black Belt in the American Kyokushin Karate Organization  (AKKO) and in the fall of 2006 he was offered and accepted the position of Vice President of the AKKO, although he is now under the tutelage of Fred Buck Hanshi (9th degree).

Cappa Kyoshi began teaching in 1976 as an Ik-Kyu and in 1980 he founded his own dojo. Over the span of almost 40 years Cappa Kyoshi also obtained a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Ju-Jitsu, also having studied other Martial Arts such as Okinawan /Japanese Karate, Korean Karate, Kung Fu, and Tai Chi Chuan to name a few from internationally recognized instructors.
This knowledge excelled him in the competition arena, having placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd both in kumite and kata through out the years in various national tournaments. His achievements do not end with the above mentioned, his love of the arts took him to the orient in search of more knowledge visiting Hong Kong and Mainland China in 1992 to further his studies where he also received a N.D. degree (Naturopathy Doctor) from the Hong Kong Naturopathy Association.

Cappa Kyoshi is a Mechanical Engineer in the Medical Industry and has extensive knowledge of anatomy and physics which allows him to explain his fighting techniques in scientific terms.
